LOBA VivaPrime is a high-quality, water-based primer for wooden floors, designed to provide optimal preparation before applying a finish. It reduces side-bonding, improves sandability, and ensures a homogeneous, even appearance. Thanks to its versatility, it is suitable for almost all common wood species and parquet types, including sensitive hardwoods.

Suitable for all light European wood species, such as oak, maple, birch, ash, spruce.

🛠 Purpose & Application

LOBA VivaPrime is used as a water-based primer for the optimal preparation of wooden and parquet floors before finishing.
It creates an even surface, reduces side-bonding, and is particularly suitable when maintaining a natural, light wood appearance is desired.

Recommended for:

• Solid and engineered parquet

• Light wood species (e.g. maple, beech, ash, light oak)

• Living areas, offices, and medium to heavily used spaces

• Use under all LOBA 1K and 2K finishes (e.g. WS Viva, 2K Duo, Fusion, etc.)

• Product type: Water-based primer for wooden & parquet floors

• Appearance: Milky in container, transparent after drying

• Gloss level: Matt (depending on the finish applied)

• Density: approx. 1.03 g/cm³

• pH value: approx. 8–9

• Consumption: approx. 80–100 ml/m² per coat

• Drying time: 1–2 hours (at 20 °C / 50% RH)

• Recoatable: After complete drying with all LOBA 1K & 2K finishes

• Tools: Roller, trowel, brush (clean tools with water immediately after use)

• Storage temperature: +5 °C to +25 °C

• Shelf life: At least 12 months unopened

• No color enhancement: Maintains the natural light wood tone

• Reduces side-bonding: Minimizes tension and potential damage in multi-layer and solid parquet

• Suitable for sensitive woods: Excellent results even with beech or maple

• Requires properly sanded surfaces: Uneven sanding patterns remain visible; fine sanding is crucial

• Do not overapply: Excess material may affect appearance and extend drying time

• Optimal room climate: Best results at 18–25 °C and 40–65% relative humidity

• Protect from frost: Product must not freeze

• Use within the LOBA system: Ensures optimal adhesion and long-term durability

• Intermediate sanding recommended: Improves adhesion and surface smoothness

• Low-odor & low-emission: Suitable for renovated living spaces, even during use
