LOBA 2K Intensive Transparent – Premium 2K primer for parquet and wooden floors

LOBA 2K Intensive Transparent is a two-component, high-solids, oil-based primer, specially developed for parquet and wood floors. By significantly enhancing the wood grain, it intensifies the natural wood color and creates a warm, oiled look – combined with the advantages of a classic sealant.

🛠 Intended use

Area of application
The primer is suitable for almost all European and exotic wood species – provided they are compatible with LOBA's official list of wood species.
Ideal as a pretreatment before water-based sealants (e.g. 2K lacquers) to intensify the wood color while maintaining a sealed surface.

🔧 Processing instructions

• Before application, the wooden surface must be professionally sanded, clean, dry and free of old varnishes, oil, wax, grease, silicone or sanding dust.

• Stir well, stir in the hardener at a ratio of 5:1, and mix in mechanically. The product is workable for approximately 2 hours after mixing.

• Apply with a suitable oil roller (recommended: LOBA Oil Roller Microfiber 60–80), consumption approx. 20–40 g/m² – depending on the type of wood and substrate.

• After approximately 30–60 minutes of dwell time, level the application with a single-disc machine + LOBA special pad and completely remove excess material.

• The wood should dry for at least 12 hours before being varnished.

3. Level and let dry

4. Sealing with suitable water-based 2K lacquer (e.g. 2K Duo, 2K InvisibleProtect etc.)

ℹ️ Special features & notes

• Completely remove excess material when leveling — residues can lead to greying, especially with exotic woods.

• Ensure adequate ventilation of work areas. Dispose of soaked rags, pads, and tools in a fire-resistant and safe manner (otherwise, there is a risk of spontaneous combustion!).
