LOBA HardwaxOil EcoPlus semi-gloss is the modern generation of a very low-emission hardwax oil for the impregnating initial treatment of wood floors. Thanks to its good penetration ability, the wood is reliably preserved without losing its natural open-pored and breathable properties.

The hardwax oil creates an even, full, and natural-looking surface and reliably protects the wood from water and dirt. For standard application, one roller application is sufficient. Due to its low consumption, HardwaxOil EcoPlus is particularly efficient and economical to use.

The semi-gloss surface enhances the natural character of the wood and is suitable for almost all European and exotic wood species.

🛠 Application instructions

Substrate preparation

• The wooden surface must be professionally sanded.
• The floor must be dry and free of old coatings, oil, grease, wax, silicone, sanding dust, and other contaminants.
• Maximum wood moisture: 12 %.
• Shake the material well before processing.
• Ventilate work areas sufficiently during application and drying.

Optimal application conditions

• Room temperature: +15 °C to +25 °C
• Floor temperature: +15 °C to +22 °C
• Material temperature: +18 °C to +25 °C
• Relative humidity: 40–65 %

🖌 Roller application

1. Prepare the substrate professionally.
2. Apply a thin layer of HardwaxOil EcoPlus with the LOBA Microfiber Oil Roller 60-80.
3. Allow the oil to penetrate for about 1 hour.
4. Then buff with a single-disc machine and a beige LOBASAND SpecialPad underneath.
5. Completely remove excess material during buffing.

For this standard application, one roller application is sufficient.

- Application for heavily used areas

For heavily used areas, LOBA recommends a combined roller and trowel application:

• Roll out a thin layer of oil with the LOBA Microfiber Oil Roller 60-80.
• Allow to penetrate for approx. 1 hour.
• Buff with a single-disc machine and a beige LOBASAND SpecialPad.
• Allow to dry overnight.
• Then apply HardwaxOil EcoPlus section by section with the LOBA Trowel.
• Immediately buff with a single-disc machine and a beige SpecialPad.

⏱ Drying & durability

• Walkable: after approx. 12 hours
• Light use: after approx. 24 hours
• Full load-bearing capacity: after approx. 10 days
• Coverable: after approx. 10 days

🔍 Notes & special features

• The product is ready to use and must not be diluted.
• Excess material must be completely removed during buffing.
• Extended drying times may occur with individual exotic wood species.
• The LOBA wood species list must be observed.
• Trowel applications are only suitable for wooden floors with tight joints.
• Oil that has penetrated into joints may not dry completely for a very long time.
• The product is part of the LOBA & Wakol Connected Systems.
• Ensure adequate ventilation during application and drying.

⚠️ Important safety notice

Rags, pads, sanding dust, and other working materials soaked with oil can spontaneously combust. Store these materials safely or dispose of them in a fire-safe manner in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.
